THE MICROSCOPE

In our English class we have to do a composition of a good invention.
THE MICROSCOPE
The invention that I choose is the microscope, because I think that it was an important advance for the science and it helps us to know about things that we can’t see.

The microscope is an instrument that allow us to see increased objects that are too much little for see it with the naked eye. The microscope was invented by Zacharias
Janssen, a Dutch lens maker, in 1590.
The first important publications appeared in 1660 and 1665 when Malpighi prove the blood circulation theory when he saw with a microscope blood capillaries and when Hook publish his work “Micographia”In the XVII century one Dutch called Leenwenhoek, using simple microscopes made by him, saw protozoans, bacteria, spermatozoids and red blood cells.

During the XVIII century the microscope undergo mechanical advances although it wasn’t develop optical upgrades that appeared in 1877.

The most common type and the firsts that was invented was the optical microscope.

Others are: the compound, the digital, the fluorescent and the stereo microscopes.

I think that this is a good invention, because it help us to know more about the things that we don’t see (because they are microscopic) and, in this way, learn more about it and the science.
