CHRISTMAS CARDS

The other day in our English class we do a project of Christmas cards.
First we make papers with the class name's and after we take one each.
Later we have one week to make a card for congratulate Christmas, the new year and more things. Also we do drawings or sticking pictures.
Other day we exchange the cards with a candy or chocolate, and the English teacher hang the cards in a rope so everyone could see it, like the English persons.
¡¡¡ it was very funny !!!

Now I tell you the history of christmas cards.
The tradition starts in the ancient China and in Egypt because they exchanged messages of good wishes.
On the XV, in Europe they gave paper cards handmade, but the germans gave congratulations or greetings of new year printed in wood from 1400.
Since then people send cards, and there are shops and factories who only does and sell that.

I really liked this project, above all make the card, drawing and painting it. I hope the next year we can do it again.

And to finish, this is the card my schoolmate gave me:

For Toni:

I hope this Christmas you how great passes, that you give away many things, and especially to be with your family. Keep a smile on your face and be happy. That you will not forget to put the mistletoe in the doorway of your home to your Christmas will be so much better.
