SHERLOCK HOLMES: THE NORWOOD MYSTERY

Hello everybody, welcome to my Blog, this time I'm going to talk about a book called Sherlock Holmes: The Norwood Mystery that I read this summer holidays. 
This book is write by Arthur Conan Doyle and it have A2 level.

This book starts when a young man called John McFarlane arrive to Sherlock Holmes house, an important detective, and ask to him for help with a problem. The police want to arrest him
because they that he kill a man called Jonas Oldacre and burn him in the yard. But he insist on his innocence and he wants the help of Sherlock Holmes, so Holmes start to investigate.

In this book there are a lot of characters, but the most important are the detective Sherlock Holmes and his assistant Doctor Watson, the suspected of the crime John McFarlane and the inspector Lestrade.


http://www.sherlockholmesonline.org/The writer was Arthur Conan Doyle. He was born in Edinburg on may of 1859. When he was young he read a lot, but he wasn't a very good student. When he left the school he went to Edinburg University to be a doctor. But he didn't have money and he wrote stories to make money. In 1881 he left the University and worked as a doctor on a ship. He was a good doctor but he didn't make much money and he started to write again. In 1890 he wrote a story called "A Study in Scarlet" and he introduced the character of Sherlock Holmes. He wrote 59 more stories about him, but also he wrote other type of books. He died in England on July of 1930.


I like this book because it hook a lot and I always want to know who is the murder. I recommend this book to all of  
the people that is learning English and like the mystery books.
