EVEREST

This Christmas holidays I saw the movie "Everest" in the cinema with my friends. And I'm going to talk about it.

The director is Baltasar Kormákur and the main characters are:

  • Jason Clarke as Rob Hall, a New Zealander expedition group leader
  • Jake Gyllenhaal as Scott Fischer, an American expedition group leader
  • Josh Brolin as Beck Weathers
  • John Hawkes as Doug Hansen
  • Sam Worthington as Guy Cotter
  • Michael Kelly as Jon Krakauer, a journalist.
  • Keira Knightley as Jan Arnold, Rob Hall's wife

The film was released on September 18 of 2015, and its from United States and United kingdom. The length of the film is 121 minutes and the genre is adventure and drama, but is based on a real story.

SYNOPSIS:

The film is based on the real events of the 1996 Mount Everest disaster, where 8 mountain climbers lost their life.

It tells the story of some groups of professional climbers who scale Mount Everest, one of them, guide by Rob Hall. When they arrive to the top of the mountain, and put some flags as memory, they decide to make the descenct, but a colossal storm surprises them and it complicates the return of the mountain climbers.

I think that it is a good movie, with a great special effects and a lot of exciting scenes, and it tells a profound and sad story. I recommend this movie to all of my mates.
